I’m so proud to introduce “Thru the glass darkly” – A God inspired blog by a fantastic Pastor in my church. I pray much blessing on her, her writing, and her new blog 🙂 Lots of Love to you Ps. Michele!

Thru the glass darkly

Spring is peaking around the corner here in beautiful Appalachia! Trying to push her way thru the remains of the winter season.  I am pulling for spring, not because its my favorite time of year, well……yes…yes that is why, also because this winter has had us all closed in for, in my opinion, too long.  Sometimes we (as in all mankind)  can tend to get discouraged that our skin will never feel the warm sun again or that we have constantly watch for ice when we are walking.  Basically being uncomfortable.

That can be the case with our spiritual lives.  We go thru spiritual seasons the same as physical, there are spiritual seasons when we can feel God so close to us, walking with us, hearing His voice.  Only to find ourselves in a new season that we feel as far away from Him as the sun is from the earth in winter.

During these “winter” times, don’t loose heart! These are very special times when spiritually…

Limbo Prayer

Hi all,
I am reading through my Reader and came across this poem…it made me stop and then agree.
We are at the tip of one year ending and another beginning. It is a time of transition, and I find myself asking God “what next?”
I don’t know what 2014 holds, but I do know He holds me.
He holds all His children, and 2014 is in His capable hands.
Blessings, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you all!

The Frog Race

The Frog Race. by:

Morning Story and Dilbert

Had to share this post with you…

First of all, the comic strip is really funny and reminds me of a woman at work. Her perfume hangs in the air, choking people, for several minutes after she’s gone. Maybe I better compliment her before it gets worse?

Secondly, the Frog Story itself is worth spreading around. I love this! We must close our ears and be “deaf” to the voices of defeat that tell us we can’t do whatever God is calling us to do. We must keep going…ignoring all who say we won’t make it.

Love in Christ to you all,

What are you doing while you wait?

What are you doing while you wait?. Pressed from

Waiting is a topic that has been mine to consider, live through, eat, sleep, talk about, and cry about for a lot of years now…29 actually. It is a fire that purifies…an extreme pressure on our flesh that shapes us.

I found encouragement, to get up and keep going even though I want to lay down on the side of this mountain and not get up, in this article and hope you will too!

Waiting has a God-given purpose, which is accomplished by Him who is faithful, and also has an appointed time to end…just like all seasons.

Blessings in Christ,

3 a.m Rendezvous

3 a.m Rendezvous. by Eternity Seeker

Her writing of the 3 a.m. hour with the Lord brought me right to my own chair and the incomparable time with Jesus in that hour.

It is the hour He wakes me with dreams, or with a song in my heart to sing, or with prayers already poised in my mouth to be spoken.

Nothing can compare. Nothing so sweet…

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

Just to take Him at his word

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!

God’s Love Stays True ~ by Deborah Ann Belka

God’s Love Stays True ~.

I loved Deborah’s poem.

In this poem, is a reminder that is always needed. People in our lives are essential, but people are typically the source of our greatest pain. BUT GOD, He is not as man…we can’t judge God based on the flesh in action. We can count on God, and He is our “soothing balm” – The Balm of Gilead still sooths. There is true peace.

Thank you Jesus!
