Backspace, Delete, Undo

MS Control PanelIf you’re human like the rest of us (how far out there does WordPress and the Web reach?), there are many things in life we wish we could undo, back up and redo, or outright delete.  However, as we all know, we can’t do that…or can we?

As much as I love my control features in formatting documents, I can’t format my life.  But there is One who can take those events, words, or instances we want to get rid of or redo and make them over into something usable/beneficial/profitable/a blessing not a curse.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” 2 Tim. 3:16: –  There are a lot of instances throughout scripture where the people we read about would like to change some things they did, that are now a matter of record for all to see.  Let’s consider just a couple:

Adam and Eve – I’m sure hindsight had them positive they would have munched on some other piece of fruit if they could redo it.

Paul – The massive guilt Paul must have felt – I’m sure he wished he could go back in time to erase the terrible killings of believers he committed.

Peter – You know Peter wanted to take back his three denials of knowing Jesus. He probably kicked himself every minute until the day Jesus showed up on the shore.

We don’t have to worry about the things in our life, we just need to give them to Jesus…the Cross is the reset button on our life. The Cross “formats” our life into something beautiful. 🙂

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Rm.8:28
