He Would Like To Talk To You

Jeremiah 6:16
“This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.””

Logging trucks can do a lot of damage; namely, tearing up the roads they travel! My road, Summers Church Rd, is a perfect example, but as I look at the destruction I can’t help but see the foundations that have been laid bare as well. Did the first settlers of the Triune area see these very rocks? Did they create that foundation and walk their ox pulled sleds over them?

When I look at the exposed rock foundation of this dirt road I always think of this verse. Not only is it looking more like an ancient path, but it is also a sort of “crossroad” in that when the first settlers named this Triune it was because three roads become one here on this beautiful mountain top.

As in the days of Jeremiah 6, God is speaking to folks today, asking them to listen to Him, to hear His voice in their life. But he is saying that people are not earing Him, or standing and looking for His direction to the good paths and rest for their souls.
Jeremiah 6:10
“To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.”

He says that: “Chaos and destruction run rampant; people do not listen to me. Envoy of my Heart Messages, speak for me, speak to them my heart of love for them, mercy for them, patience with them. There are a lot of things everyone is saying, but who will listen to God, to what He is saying. I adore my people, I long for them, I desire their fellowship, to break bread with them, to touch them, nourish them, heal them, educate them…”

As in the days of Jeremiah 6, God is still in love with the people He created and wants to be in fellowship with them, to keep their life safe from destruction! To people who have never accepted Jesus into their hearts – He says Come! To people who have Jesus in their hearts but are hard of hearing at the moment, He says Come! He loves you and wants to speak to you and into your life. He will give us directions onto those ancient paths to keep us from chaos and destruction; He guides us to a place of resting in His Powerful Sufficiency. That the heavy burdens and yolks around our necks would be removed and our load made lighter, because He will carry it for us. He is for our good, not harm. If He is saying something, it is always a good thing for you and for others around you. To you that God is speaking too, please heed this special call.
